The scientific composition and physical properties of cultivated diamonds (lab-grown diamonds) and natural mined diamonds are not different. In other words, from a legal perspective, cultivated diamonds (lab-grown diamonds) are not fake diamonds or diamond substitutes (imitation diamonds), but real diamonds.

Lab-grown diamonds which are cultivated in a simulated growth environment for natural diamond have exactly the same composition and properties as natural diamonds. It is not a diamond substitute, such as Moissanite and Soviet diamonds.
